During this COVID-19 pandemic, we are seeing businesses pivot their business models right and left in order to adapt to customers’ changing needs and habits. There is a lot more activity online – not just shopping, but also virtual community building. Web-based events have become the new normal for a lot of organizations, but some business owners haven’t quite pulled the trigger yet.
Startup Sioux Falls and Zeal Center for Entrepreneurship would like to help equip entrepreneurs with the information they need to take the leap into producing their own online events. So next Thursday, May 7th at 4:00, they are hosting a Virtual Event Planning Panel Discussion via Zoom.
This new event is aimed to teach business owners what it takes to run a successful online event and answer any lingering questions they may have. To convey this knowledge, three local experts have been lined up to serve on a panel. Addie Graham-Kramer of The Event Company, Elijah Bonde of Avera McKennan Foundation, and Bob Wendland of The Good Night Theatre Collective & Washington Pavilion will share their tips and experiences on the topic of virtual event planning.
Among other topics, we will hear about how to market virtual events, what platforms you may want to use, and how to make virtual events a truly engaging experience for attendees.
Make sure you RSVP to this event. There will be three gift cards given away redeemable at local businesses, and you must both register and attend the event in order to be eligible to win. The gift cards are as follows:
- $45 (3 pizzas) to Sunny’s Pizzeria
- $50 to Juniper Apothecary
- $60 to Fernson Brewing
